Project Manager - Moorestown, NJ office

Our project managers are responsible for fulfilling all of our contractual requirements, satisfying our customers and invoicing.

We are a part of the construction industry.  Generally our products are shipped to schools, hospitals, colleges or industrial companies that are renovating an existing building or building a new building.

Our project managers must determine what is required by the customer and then make sure that the products arrive at the project site when needed.  Typically an architect creates plans for the construction work and they send the plans to all companies that are involved in working on the project such as a plumber, an electrician, a roofer, a general contractor, etc. and we get the plans, too.  We then create our own drawings (we have CAD operators who prepare the drawings) which show what we intend to provide in greater detail and send our drawings back to the architect for approval.  Once approved, our drawings are used by the project manager to order the appropriate cabinet configurations, counter tops, sinks, shelving, etc.  In many cases the project manager will shop around for the best prices and delivery times from various suppliers.  Also we need to hire carpenters who will install our products.  The companies that we hire are experts at installing our products.

Occasionally the project manager will need to visit the project site to coordinate the work with a general contractor and our installers or for many other reasons.  Most of the project manager's work is done from the office, however.

One project manager will generally manage between 15 to 40 projects of various sizes at a time.  Some projects are very small, such as supplying one cabinet, one sink and a counter top.  Some are very large.

We have trained many people with absolutely no experience in this type of work to become good project managers.

Sales Position

We are looking for a sales representative to sell laboratory furniture (cabinets, counter tops, sinks, shelving, etc.) for use by industrial companies, schools, universities and hospitals.  We sell in eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C.
